Inclusion

Wings believe that all children with autism have the right to be fully included in a regular education classroom. In the Wings classroom we teach children the skills to be successful in the included setting.

Mainstreaming is the process by which children become included in the regular education classroom. Some children will be partially included while other will be able to be successful learners while fully included.

The reverse mainstreaming is the process by which children learn skills for the regular education setting from neurotypical peers. The neurotypical peers are brought into the special education classroom to interact and learn in the classroom setting.
