Loan Le
Elementary Program

Loan has been with Wings Learning Center since 2014. She has worked in both Elementary and Secondary classroom as an Instructional Assistant. She enjoy working in the classroom with the students. She has her B.A. in Psychology from San Jose State University. Loan is currently at Notre Dame De Namur University working on her M.A. in Special Education. 

Tin Fan Callister
Elementary Program

Tin is a San Francisco Bay Area native. Tin taught for three years at the Oak Hill School, a K-12 school for students with Autism. Last year, she relocated to Portland, Oregon and taught at Victor Academy, a similar program serving students with Autism. She holds a dual credential in Multiple Subjects and Special Education with a Master's in Special Education and a Certificate in Autism.

Alma Plascencia
Middle School Program

Alma was born and raised in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies from Notre Dame de Namur in December 2014. She began working with individuals with disabilities when she was a senior in high school working and supporting students in the resource classroom. She would go on working in the field of Special Education, mainly with the adult population for the next 9 years where she developed and applied new skills to improve the quality of life for those with disabilities. Alma is currently enrolled in the Credential Program at Notre Dame de Namur University as well as perusing a Master’s Degree in Special Education. She is excited for the opportunity to apply her skills and knowledge as a first time teacher at Wings.

Sherry Apostol, M.A.
Secondary Program

Sherry has been working in the field of Autism for the past six years. She earned her B.A. in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Psychology from San Jose State University. Prior to joining Wings, Sherry was the Senior Therapist in a language-based early intervention program for over five years. During this time, she was also a Senior Therapist specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. Sherry spent the past year student teaching and interning in a nearby school district. She is in her last semester at Notre Dame de Namur University where she will earn her special education teaching credential, specializing in both Mild/Moderate and Moderate/Severe disabilities in addition to her M.A. in Special Education. Sherry also plans to pursue her BCBA certification.

Lucero Torres
Secondary Program

Lucero was born and raised in the Bay Area. She received her Bachelors of Art’s degree at UC Santa Cruz she double major in Sociology and Latin American and Latino Studies. She is currently in her second year at Norte Dame De Namur University earning her M.A. in Special Education with a focus in Moderate/Severe disabilities. Lucero has been with Wings Learning Center for almost five years as an Instructional Assistant and the last two years as a Senior Instructional Assistant. She is looking for the new challenge of leading her own classroom and the exciting year to come. 

Kevin Skidmore, M.S.
Secondary Program

Kevin received a Bachelor’s of Art Education from Ohio State University where became a credentialed art teacher. He relocated to California and continued his education at San Diego State University and completed the coursework for a special education credential, he then completed his special education credential and received a Master’s of Science in Special Education with an Autism credential from the Dominican University of California. He previously worked as a lead teacher at the Cypress School in Petaluma for three years and at Oak Hill School in San Anselmo for five.
