Student Profile

Children, ages 5 to 17, who have been given the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or a Communication Disorder.

The Program

Wings' program is a comprehensive academic curriculum, designed to prepare students to transition to a traditional classroom. Our approach is:

  • Multi-sensory, to increase each child's opportunities for learning.

  • Individualized, to work with each child's strengths and learning needs.

  • Structured, to provide each child with clear expectations of his or her academic performance and behavior.

The School

Faculty: All teachers and paraprofessionals are certified and/or licensed in their area of expertise.

Class Size: Wings has a 2 to 1 student to faculty ratio. We have a maximum of 6 to 7 students, and gather in smaller groups for reading and math instruction.

Class Schedule: Wings has a full day class schedule, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Fridays are minimum days with school beginning at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 12:00 p.m. for Elementary and Middle School students and 12:30 p.m. for High School students.
