Student Profile

Children, ages 5 to 15, who have been given the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or a Communication Disorder. Curriculum: 1st to 8th grade.

The Program

Wings' program is a comprehensive academic curriculum, designed to prepare students to transition to a traditional classroom. Our approach is:

Multi-sensory, to increase each child's opportunities for learning.
Individualized, to work with each child's strengths and learning needs.
Structured, to provide each child with clear expectations of his or her academic performance and behavior.

Our program includes:
Visual support in language development.
Individualized therapies directed towards each child's specific needs.
Play groups with neuro-typical players.

The School

Faculty: All teachers and paraprofessionals are certified and/or licensed in their area of expertise.

Class Size: Wings has a 2 to 1 student to faculty ratio, with a teacher available for individual tutoring when needed. We have a maximum of 6 students, and gather in smaller groups for reading and math instruction.

Class Schedule: Wings has a full day class schedule, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
