Our School: Parents as Partners

At Wings Learning Center, we regard parents as our partners. Parent involvement in the learning process and activities of their child with autism is essential to the child's emotional and academic growth. We work together to help parents develop a better understanding of their child's learning profile (IEP) and needs.

Parents, teachers and support professionals meet to write a detailed learning plan for their child and to clearly outline goals and objectives for the school year. Parents are required to meet regularly and evaluate their child’s individual plan.

Parents can choose among a variety of activities in which to invest their time: support teachers with material preparation, participating in therapy session, fund-raising activities, office support, community relations are only a few.
